FAQ: General
I'm logged in but I'm not sure where to start. What do I do?
There are many options to choose from and we understand that it may seem confusing at first. This site contains detailed information on every aspect and option of your web site. If you are new to DataPitStop, we highly suggest you take the time to give it a read. It's not difficult, there are just many items to choose from. The following is a brief outline of where you may want to start.
  • The first thing you will most likely want to do is setup your Member Information. This will define who you are and what products and services you provide. All this is located under the first section, Member Information.
  • We feel the next step is to get a better feel for your site. By default, you have pages containing modules such as a calendar and staff directory. These are the modules listed under Site Features. Play around with adding new calendar events, staff members, or news articles. Don't try to add images at this point, just add generic entries. They are so easy to use you most likely will not need any instruction on how it is done. You may also notice that the way in which they are done is virtually the same across all modules. This will give you a good feel as to how to your site functions.
  • Once you get the feel for things you may start thinking about making some changes to the look and feel for your site. Some choose to leave the look and feel the way it is but others do not. The Site Administration section allows you to make these changes.
  • At this point you may want to start removing or adding web pages. You may even want to rearrange your menu. The Current Web Pages section allows you to make these changes.
  • The last suggestion is to get help with your site. Under the Site Administration section allows you to add fellow administrators to help maintain your site.

Always keep in mind you can always find detailed help on http://help.datapitstop.us. We cover all aspects of your DataPitStop web site.
